I'm content to read about what happened than be caught in a large, stuffy crowd with other sweaty man-children. Having said that, this was an interesting read. Definitely liked those Mother 3 figurines. Gaming conventions, for me, have always been mixed. I love the games and the culture, but there is just something... wrong... with the way some people act, and this is coming from a guy who has almost every NES game. PAX is based around Penny Arcade, whom I really don't care for, or anyone involved, save for the rare good comic. Perhaps it is due to the fact that I don't particularly idolize any gaming figures, or rather that I hardly respect them as 'figures.' Although, I did see James Rolfe (The AVGN) at one, who I do think is an interesting guy. Of course, I never leave Texas to go to any, so the 3 or 4 I have attended have all been in Dallas. Perhaps it is just that I have become more of a collector then a participant. Well, that's my two cents.
