Hey Tech Heads, We Need Some Help!
So when we hooked the Wii up to our new TV, we get this weird, yellowish noise in the form of horizontal lines appearing across the screen. It’s not constant; sometimes it’s a few lines, sometimes it takes up the whole screen. It’s similar to a TV with bad reception. We’ve tried two component cables (set to 480i and 480p), both component inputs on the TV, and both our Wiis… no matter what, we can’t get a picture without the noise.
Does anyone have ANY idea what could be causing it? The Wii is unplayable as it is.

Did you guys make sure to change the definition settings to go along with the component cables?
We tried it with both Wiis set to 480i and 480p. We have our PlayStation 2 hooked up via component and there’s no issues.
Well, that’s outside of my knowledge. Someone else might know. If your other HD stuff is working fine, I’d say it’s probably the component itself, and not your TV.
