PK Podcast! Episode 6 – 03/05/2010

Apologies for the late podcast! We were at Best Buy for a couple of hours picking out a new TV. We’re really stoked about it! Our living room is FINALLY all done, and tomorrow morning we’ll put together our new entertainment center, mount the new TV on the wall, and then pretty much cut ourselves off from the outside world in favor of pure LED HD goodness.

Anyway, Final Fantasy XIII is coming out on Tuesday, so in tonight’s podcast we talk about about what “Final Fantasy” means these days. We hope you like it!

How do you call yourselves anime fans without recognizing SquareEnix’s various anime and manga that have NOTHING to do with Final Fantasy? If you were gonna ask for examples, you might have heard of Full Metal Alchemist. Other really up-and-coming SE titles include SoulEater, Bamboo Blade, and PaniPoni Dash. You need to go to Funimation’s site and watch them all. Also, be sure to check out “When They Cry”, which is like the best psychological thriller/horror EVER.

Fullmetal Alchemist was very awesome. However, I don’t think they have the same creative teams working on games that they do on manga… actually, I thought that they just published a manga magazine like Jump, and didn’t actually create the manga themselves.

On another note, I’m really looking forward to their new Play Arts figures, especially the Bleach line.

Yeah, we’re anime fans, and have heard of all of the above-mentioned ones. I tend to consider the teams as seperate entities though, since, yanno… they’re seperate entities. >_> So we were talking about their games.

As for SEToys, uhm yes, I absolutely can’t wait for the Bleach PlayArts… and they are coming out with Chrono Trigger FormationArts as well which I am sooooooooooo excited for.
